Here is a unique canoe that she is about ready to burn. One end has a Eagle head and the opposite end has a Indian head. She molded this from her own special blend of clay. I believe it is 10-12 inches long. Note the great etching of the feathers on the eagle. She should be burning this soon.  You can tell how smooth it was rubbed by the shine in the photos.

This is a swan dish that Chevelle made a while back. Note the delicate feather that she attached.

CA007-This is a bowl.  This is more like a Catawba traditional piece.

CA008-This is a large flower. She made this piece out of commercial clay to see how it will turn out. Chevelle likes to go outside the lines as far as traditions go

CA009-This is a snail pipe. Again this was created by her great imagination.

CA015-Raven Canoe is 6in. long x 2in. wide x 1in. tall.
This canoe is decorated with the Raven and fishing net.
The Ravens are known as "Keepers of Secrets" native tribes.

CA016-This is a Seed Pot. It has the shape and size of an egg. This is my first seed pot I have made. It stands 1 3/4 in.tall x 1 1/4in. wide. 
It said that the Native Americans keep the seeds in these to keep rodents from eating them. This piece is decorated with the cross-hatch in a ribbon. It has a small hole in the bottom to fill and dispense the seeds. 

CA017-This swan with the feather on its back measures 6in. long x 21/2 in. wide and 4in. tall.
I love the swans for there grace, serenity and innocence. I decorated it with the feather and lotus flower as a mark of love and mourning.
